Our Molex Fiberguide facility in Caldwell, Idaho, a vertically integrated fiber optic company, is looking for a full time Optical Technician.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Conduct and record optical testing data including:
• Pointing
• Troubleshoot optical testing setups
• Beam profiling
• Polarization
• Collimation
• Work with engineering team to automate assembly procedures and testing setups
• Transmission
• Lens alignment
• Work with the Development Engineering Team to assemble micro-optical assemblies

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Completion or pursuing of an Associate’s Degree or higher in lasers, optics, or physics
• One or more of the following:
• Completion or pursuing of Technical Training in lasers, optics, or physics

What Will Put You Ahead

• Knowledge of automation systems
• Knowledge of fiber optic systems, free space optics, lensing systems, and laser systems
• Experience working on an optical bench
• Experience in coding using python, C/C++,C#, LabView, or other programming languages
