SUMMARY: The Operations Supervisor - Inventory and Logistics is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the inventory and logistics department, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for managing inventory levels, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers.

A Logistics and Inventory Supervisor is a professional who is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of logistics and inventory management in our organization. This position involves managing the flow of goods and materials through the supply chain, including procurement, transportation, storage, and distribution. The Logistics and Inventory Supervisor works with other departments, such as, production, and sales, to ensure that inventory levels are appropriate to meet demand while minimizing waste and cost. They also work with carriers, suppliers, and customers to schedule and track shipments, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Responsibility Snapshot of an Operations Supervisor Logistics and Inventory:


Typical duties may include:


  • Navigating between two or more instances within our Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) ERP, Canada, USA, and HQ Spain.
  • Maintaining accurate vendor response and delivery time for replenishment fixed reorder points.
  • Quarterly reporting to other departments like accounting and sales
  • Ensuring that our Just-in-time inventory is optimized and exceeding the needs of stakeholders and customers by maintaining no more than two months of rotational stock in Norcross US or Montreal QB at any time.
  • Reconciling inventory movement daily by cycle counts, correctly posting shipments, and receiving transactions with NAV ERP.
  • Oversee, generate, and maintain domestic and international shipment tracking in multiple locations.
  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and reporting to management & leadership the status of inventory and Logistics Metrics on a timely basis.
  • Ensuring purchase orders (PO) related to products are on time and accurately, also forwarded internally to Accounts Payable for fast payment to maintain excellent vendor relations.
  • Performing and overseeing daily activities within the Distribution Center.

This role is held accountable for the following key results.


  • Maintain a minimum accuracy rate of 99.5% for inventory counts in the ERP system by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliations with physical inventory.
  • Increase productivity/efficiency and maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Increase Customer Satisfaction Rates by more than 2% Quarter over Quarter.
  • Maintaining a full staff along with continuing education to make them eligible for promotions inside or outside the DC of your staff outside of your department.
  • Meet or exceed Just-in-time (JIT) delivery targets for the sales team by maintaining a stock availability rate of 98% for Fixed reorder products.
