Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Continuous review and development of operational processes to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and manage KPIs to track success and/or reoccurring problems
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop objectives that align with business requirements
  • Proactively identify safety concerns and promote a “Tour Ready”, safe work environment
  • Secure building/operations at the end of each shift
  • Understand and achieve productivity objectives and departmental standards while maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, and team morale
  • Enforce SOPs and work processes that optimize efficiency
  • Lead, supervise, and train a team (15+) of hourly warehouse associates; recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
  • Handle disciplinary issues while maintaining an environment of respect and accountability
  • Ownership of daily workload and workflow of department; make adjustments/improvements as needed to ensure goals are achieved
  • Maintain awareness of business matters and budgetary goals
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement; assist with strategy development for warehouse ventures
  • Continuously evaluate employee performance and conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports
  • Other duties as assigned, including responsibility for other warehouse departments or shifts


Requirements:


  • Must be resilient, focused problem solver and self-starter; ability to multi-task and prioritize in a complex environment
  • Strong commitment to employee development and motivation
  • Must be able to stand and work for long periods (8+ hours)
  • APICS Certification, Lean/Six Sigma, project management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong customer focus (internal and external)
  • 3+ years of management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in ERP systems; Apprise experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; expertise in Excel strongly preferred
  • Experience in warehouse management systems (i.e. Manhattan Associates, Red Prairie) strongly preferred
  • Must be able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and/or consecutive days as required
  • Must be able to continuously lift boxes weighing 40-70 pounds
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule; night or weekend shift as assigned
  • Can adapt quickly and respond to change
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
