Frank CPG Partners is recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality food products that exceed customers expectations. We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee and optimize production processes. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet demand and optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure all food production processes comply with regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to deliver products that consistently meet high-quality standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Regularly review production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide strong leadership to production supervisors and staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Ensure operations resources are focused and aligned on accomplishing key manufacturing tasks and are accountable for making sure they understand how it relates to the business strategy.
- Develop budgets, labor plans, and staffing
- Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development through training and coaching.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all production equipment is well-maintained and operating at maximum efficiency.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all employees follow safety protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in food manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- A commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA).
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems to track and analyze production data.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across departments and work cross-functionally.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Engineering, Business Administration, Science or a related field.
