The Opportunity

CDC is looking for an experienced Operations Manager who is passionate about addressing the challenges of climate change and is excited to to design, maintain and continuously improve high-quality operational processes for a small, growing organization. The Operations Manager will have an opportunity to contribute to building, organizing, and growing an important new initiative. S/he will work closely with the Managing Partner and founding team on most areas of the Collective’s operations, including executive scheduling and support, light bookkeeping/banking, benefits admin, other general office management, as well as interfacing with outsourced service providers (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, benefits, IT). The Carbon Drawdown Collective has offices in New York City and Charlottesville, VA. The Operations Manager role will be located in Charlottesville, with an expectation of at least three days in the office per week. Compensation commensurate with experience; competitive benefits package. No travel will be required for this position

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can work independently within a collaborative team
• A passion for addressing the challenges of climate change
• Proficient with of relevant operational tools, including MS Office or Google productivity suites, bookkeeping software.
• Commitment to accuracy and strict confidentiality.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong writing and communications skills
