How You Will Make An Impact


The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of daily operations. This position is responsible for managing a team of route drivers, coordinating logistics, and optimizing warehouse processes to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining operational excellence.


Essential Functions


  • Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and implement best practices to enhance overall operational effectiveness
  • Interview, select, and onboard new Route Drivers and Warehouse Associates
  • Collect and analyze operational data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery accuracy, on-time performance, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction
  • Promptly address any route-related issues, such as delays and customer needs and requests
  • Coach supervisors to delegate and elevate where appropriate
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager in management of product availability and pricing, and introduction of new products within market segments
  • Oversee and provide direction on loss prevention and theft
  • Research and optimize route structure to minimize out of stocks while increasing delivery efficiencies
  • Manage development and scheduling of Route Driver training
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and quarterly check-ins with direct reports.
  • Set performance targets, monitor driver performance, and provide regular feedback to drive improvements in delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage Vending Management System (VMS) database including updating customer data and planograms, managing route structure, and monitoring cash accountability and inventory par levels
  • Review asset sales regularly to determine if remerchandising is needed and coordinate with warehouse when planogram changes are performed
  • Analyze comprehensive reports to support decision-making and identify areas for operational enhancement


What You Bring To The Table


  • Experience using software and systems for route optimization, inventory management, and data analysis, a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, a plus
  • 5+ years proven experience in operations management, preferably within the vending services, distribution, or logistics industry
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving performance improvements
  • Computer savvy with database administration experience and a knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
