WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday from 1:00 in the afternoon until 10:30 in the evening AND Friday from 2:00 in the afternoon until 6:00 in the evening
United Performance Metals (UPM) is seeking a new member to join our team in Chicago, IL who is dedicated to continuous improvement. O'Neal Industries has been in existence for 100 years and supports us. This position will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the distribution of specialty metals around the world. Our company prides itself on providing excellence and growth opportunities for our associates through advanced technology and global reach.
The Operations Associate will be introduced to the unique world of specialty metals and will begin working with our Machine Operators to create high-quality parts that are being used to innovate our world. You will learn how to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and tolerance-measuring equipment. You will also have the opportunity to master the machinery that flattens, slits, and edges our specialty metals.
Essential Responsibilities And Duties

• Managing space by consolidating material
• Pulling material from stock
• Maintaining cleanliness
• Returning unused material to inventory
• Processing orders
• Checking all specified tolerances
• Packaging materials
• General forklift operator and crane operations and basic material handling
• Preparing orders to be shipped
• Following instructions from Operators
• Assuring sufficient supply of goods/inventory control

You Should Have Proficiency In The Following

• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Forklift Licensing
• High School Diploma or GED
• Packaging Experience
• Excellent Communication Skills

Salary Info
$19 - $20 / hr
