Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 7a-3:30p

S ummary:

Performs various Housekeeping duties after each surgery to ensure the clean and sanitary conditions of the Operating Room. Follows all infection control regulations and guidelines. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.


Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. 1 year of housekeeping, janitorial, and/or service-based experience. Must be proficient in the operation and care of equipment normally associated with the department (i.e., high-speed buffer, battery-powered scrubber, wet/dry suction equipment, scaffolding, etc.). All qualified applicants must successfully complete the sterilization technique training within 90 days of hire. Ability to read and write English. Preferred: Experience working in a healthcare setting. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds. Ability to lift 10-40 pounds. Requires some exposure to chemicals, bioburden, and cleaning products.
