Maintains accountability for the overall coordination, communication, documentation and reporting of assigned project(s). Serves as a primary point of contact for the project lifecycle. Supports the NHCI Project Manager in achievement of project goals and aims, including coordination of meetings and activities, recording and monitoring progress, and communicating project status.
The Oncology Project Coordinator (prefer oncology nurse) will work collaboratively with the Oncology Clinical Coordinator and quality team to coordinate initiatives related to multidisciplinary cancer care to improve patient care and clinical outcomes across all cancer types. This person is responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance activities related to quality improvement, data management, and processes in the areas of oncology clinical pathways, precision oncology program and cancer genomics team, and multidisciplinary cancer conference team. This person will provide clinical expertise for new and existing initiatives in collaboration with oncology physicians, clinical staff, and support staff across multidisciplinary cancer teams.
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's Degree in such fields as Healthcare, Public Health, Business, or Social Sciences is required. 2. Experience in project management.
3. Minimum 2 years healthcare experience
4. Successful history working with physicians
5. Proven track record in customer service, attention to detail, and problem solving.
6. Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
7. Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
8. Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with clinicians and administrative staff at all levels.
9. Ability to perform in a leadership capacity.
10. Strong oral and written communication and quality control skills.
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
12. Ability to use computer systems to track project activities, assess metrics and interpret data.
13. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
PREFERRED:
1. Master's Degree is desirable.
2. Experience in a healthcare, oncology, and a community hospital setting strongly preferred.
