About us

Moor Baker Architects is the Vero Beach, Florida-based partnership of architects Peter Moor, Mary Juckiewicz, and Chris Baker. For more than thirty years, they have built their reputation creating timeless architecture where clients’ needs, climate and site converge.

The firm focuses on the private home, both new construction and renovation, an occasional commercial space or garden folly and any project furthering their interests in site planning, urbanism, craft, construction, and the continuation of the traditional building arts.

Our work environment includes:

  • A "bird's nest" setting; a small beachside design studio on the second floor.
  • Walkable to Ocean Drive shops and cafes.
  • Creative environment ... with good coffee at all times.

The successful candidate must find joy in supporting our boutique studio of eight architects and designers in a variety of ways as we all work together to create meaningful spaces. The environment is creative and collaborative and includes a variety of tasks that change daily.

The ideal candidate should have no fear of technology, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask and switch gears as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • A variety of special assignments as directed by our architects and designers.
  • Maintain organized files, design drawings, and general office upkeep.
  • Managing the sample library.
  • Reception, phones, mail, email.
  • Snack procurement!
  • Management of bookkeeping tasks, payroll, invoicing, etc.

Experience:

  • Administrative experience (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office, Excel (Preferred)
