Job Description
$2500 Sign-On Bonus. This is a Split Position (2 days at LEAP and 3 days at FMT- Lower/Middle)


This position is a split position between the Fairmount and Greenspring Campuses (15-20 minutes apart by car). Three days a week the OT will be located at the Fairmount campus working with students K-8th grade with varying special needs including autism, emotional disability, intellectual disability and traumatic brain injuries. Two days a week the OT will provide services to students in the LEAP Program located on the Greenspring Campus. Here the OT will work with students (5-21) with the primary diagnosis of autism, along with other pervasive disorders and behavioral needs. This split position is an opportunity to work in different programs within the same network to gain experience with varying populations.


The OT will perform evaluations and subsequent planning, execution of therapy programs for children with neuromotor dysfunction, sensory integrative disorders and emotional disturbances. The occupational therapist will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for staff, parents and community agencies. The occupational therapist will be involved in the supervision of OT students, COTA’s and volunteers/ aides and maintain appropriate student records. In addition, the OT will develop and coordinate student and staff education programs within area of specialty and assure the continuity in education programs, demonstrating leadership and high level of expertise in their specialty area. The OT has the potential to participate in clinical research within specialty area.

EDUCATION


  • Baccalaureate Degree required, basic Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy (MA/MS) in OT preferred.


EXPERIENCE


  • Three years licensed experience in Occupational Therapy with at least two years documented experience in area of specialty.

The Financial Analyst I will assist the Manager, Medical Program Operations by performing a variety of financial tasks in the areas of grants and budgets. The Financial Analyst I will conduct accounting and financial analyses and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians/researchers.


  • Assist the Manager, Medical Program Operations and Directors with special projects as needed.
  • Reconcile Kennedy Krieger monthly salary and revenue reports to department databases, analyze discrepancies, prepare and process adjustments as needed.
  • Process departmental purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, and travel expenses as required.
  • Under the guidance of the Manager, Medical Program Operations, reconcile department databases with Kennedy Krieger monthly period reports, analyze discrepancies, prepare and process appropriate adjustments to ensure accuracy of charged expenses.
  • Provide assistance to the Manager, Medical Program Operations by analyzing monthly budget expenditures to aid in the preparation and submission of the operational fiscal budgets for grants, special projects, multiple outpatient sub-clinics, day treatment programs, and inpatient services.
  • Review expenditures, salary expenses, staff effort, and maintain databases for department expenditures and salary expenses by programs/clinics.
  • Assist the Manager, Medical Program Operations with the development of departmental budgets; research historical finance data as needed; maintain knowledge of all department systems, reports, and processes.
  • Assist the Manager, Medical Program Operations with grant submissions and the maintenance of data for in process grant-related activities.
  • Monitor Kennedy Krieger reports to ensure that expenses are properly charged and credited, analyze discrepancies, and make recommendations for adjustments.


EDUCATION


  • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Associate’s degree required.


EXPERIENCE


  • 2 or more years of experience in accounting, business administration/management, budgeting, grant accounting, or other relevant experience required.
  • 6 years of relevant experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
