Cuyuna Regional Medical Center * Visiting Specialties Crosby, MN Clinical & Technical Part Time Over, 8-hour Day Shift FTE: .8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) Weekend Requirements: No weekends Posted 06/30/2023 Req # 12377 This position is an internal posting for current CRMC Employees to apply beginning at 8:00 am on 6/30 until 4:00 pm on 7/6. POSITION SUMMARY The primary function of this position is to provide assistance to the physicians and nursing staff to maintain smooth clinic function. Responsibilities include assisting the clinic nursing staff with the rooming process for patients in the clinic. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED or must be on the MN Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. Requires one-year experience providing hands on patient care. License/Certificates: American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. Special Skills and Aptitudes: Good understanding of medical terminology Effective listening, observational, reporting, documentation and communication skills Use of nursing equipment including BP cuff, stethoscope, EKG machine, and pulse oximeter Experience with taking blood pressure, pulse and respirations Basic computer knowledge ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Direct patient care Room patients for exams Perform basic assessment, i.e. height, weight, temperature, respirations, blood pressure, visual acuity, EKG\'s. Assist with procedures as appropriate Transport patients as needed. Indirect patient care Chart vital signs per protocol Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality Order and stock supplies as needed in clinic exam rooms. Communicate patient questions/concerns to nurse or provider accurately and promptly. Perform errands as needed or requested by nurse or physician. Answer phone/relay messages accurately and promptly.
