The LOGAN Nurse is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the health care services for LOGAN clients and implementation of nursing support plans for assigned caseloads. Provide first aid, basic medical treatment and basic medical evaluation for individuals served and staff at the location in emergent situations; and provide staff training as directed. Qualifications


Education


  • Nurse must be certified in CPR and First Aid.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Nurse must be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • Nurse must be certified to administer TB tests.


Experience


  • Two years' experience required. Experience may include a combination of life experience and working with individuals with developmental disabilities


Job Knowledge


  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • A positive attitude to support individuals with disabilities.
  • A willingness to learn and implement positive approaches to instruction and behavior management.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • A valid state driver's license in order to drive on behalf of LOGAN.
