CareSTL Health is seeking full-timeNurse Educator.The Nurse Educator position will under the direction of the Director of Health Education and Training, provide education and evaluation to nursing and patient care staff ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides and assists educational leadership with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care to patients and care providers to enhance specialized patient care within established healthcare setting in addition to coordinating in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff. Collaborates with medical providers, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula. Initiates skills development programs within the parameters of established care models; monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters. Provides direct specialized nursing services to an assigned group of patients, providing specialized patient care within nursing protocols and assisting in the performance of all related nursing duties. Educates and ensures technical and patient care staffs proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Education: The Nurse Educator must possess at minimum an Associate's degree with Bachelors preferred and a background in either public health, industrial, or an ambulatory care settings. Must have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing Must be licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Missouri Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in a community health center and/or healthcare setting 2+ years of teaching/education/training Additional Information: Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year.
