About This Position


Lead direct reports in the New Model Parts Quality Group to manage assigned suppliers through the new model part development process and quality evaluations leading up to mass production launch.


Responsibilities Include


  • Confirm Completion of the New Model Review process (NMR) and full Part Maturation of all parts prior to mass production
  • Prepare New Model Evaluation documents to review with Parts Quality (PQ) and Supplier Operations Dept. (SOD) Management to address concern items and share countermeasure activities
  • Coordinate and complete new model Part by Part Reviews and Trial Event parts inspection
  • Lead supplier part tooling development throughout the new model cycle
  • Confirm Receipt of Quality Assurance Notice (QAN) documents from suppliers to evaluate results and implement countermeasures needed to achieve part approval


Who We Are Seeking


Required Experience:


  • 2-3 years experience within a manufacturing environment and working with OEM suppliers


Required Education


  • 4-year Engineering degree, or 2-Year Engineering degree with experience in related field


Other Job Specific Skills


  • Good trouble shooting skills to assist in production down time, determine root cause and experience in developing countermeasures.
  • Electrical or Mechanical Design Experience using Catia and or AutoCAD
  • Good visual management skills to show project readiness, project development, and project reflections.
  • Experience managing large projects, including manpower, cost, daily activities, safety and completion of project checkouts before plant start-ups
  • Equipment Engineering work experience including planning, scheduling, maintenance coordination, engineering coordination in a production environment
