Meritage Homes is hiring a New Homes Sales Counselor in Venice, FL!
- Ability to analyze and propose solutions to complex problems
- College degree or some college hours preferred
- Providing exceptional customer service to Meritage Homes Buyers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of enthusiasm and excitement
- Professional appearance and presentation
- Numerical aptitude with basic understanding of financial principles
- ACTIVE State RE License required (if applicable, state specific)
- Proposing business plans for success and determining best marketing practices for community demographics
- Computer proficient with ability to learn new systems quickly
- Generating traffic through relationships with the Realtor community, participating in community events and meetings, and other networking venues
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and most holidays
- Promoting Meritage Homes to prospective buyers and meeting monthly/quarterly sales goals
- “Onsite” new home sales experience required
- Ability to engage, promote, educate and persuade
- Guiding homebuyers throughout the entire sales process, including contract and mortgage

- Frequent interactions with new-home buyers, Title Companies and Mortgage Companies, Sales and Escrow, Design Studio, Purchasing, and Accounting, other internal departments and external contacts.
- Order and coordinate all IT, internet and phone equipment for sales offices.
- Review and distribute all customer surveys to appropriate parties.
- Assist in setting up new community sales offices.
- Process expense report for VP of Sales.
- Generate weekly and monthly and quarterly sales reports to include Traffic, Project Status, Incentives, Commissions, and other ad hoc reports.
- Assist in preparation of competitive market analysis
- Attend and assist with community grand openings.
- Coordinate sales meetings and team functions.
- Conduct Constellation/Salesforce and system training for all sales staff.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and CPS, or similar database systems, preferred
- High School Diploma, or equivalent; 2 or more years of college, preferred
- Good computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Windows Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Run and maintain customer service Avid reports.
- Provide computer and administrative support to Sales Team.
- Coordinate travel for out of state sales trainings.
- Cover communities on occasion.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Maintain a constant relationship with CPS for new community set up, sales issues, and system issues while working with sales associates to assure program is operational.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in homebuilding, real estate, lender or escrow
- 3 years of experience in an office support position in a business environment where a similar skill set is required
- Strong Oral/Written Communication Skills, proofreading skills, and telephone skills
- Monitor and ensure the sales department is in compliance with all audit requirements.
- Order all office supplies for sales staff.
