Network Engineer Jobs

We are seeking a mid-level engineer to join our team as our Network Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the fastest growing technology field. The role of the Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting KORE network routing infrastructure in support of operator and customer cellular connectivity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Administer and maintain regional operator and network performance monitoring systems
• Serve as escalation point for Tier2 Support issues requiring network expertise
• Work closely with the global network and systems engineering teams to deploy and support new-hosted network products and services
• Participate in 24x7 on-call network support rotation
• Performs customer- and carrier-facing network problem resolution
• Participates in documented standard processes and procedures of infrastructure management including change management, VPN access, project task delivery, failover procedures, recovery plans, etc.
• Follow and support security strategies and best practices for safeguarding infrastructure resources

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Engineering diploma or Associate degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent experience
• Demonstrates our core competencies of customer focus, integrity, initiative, innovation, collaboration and results orientation
• Previous experience with Carriers IP connectivity platforms and elements
• Strong listening, communication and time management skills
• Fluent in both spoken and written English
• Familiarity with most of the following protocols and technologies: BGP, VLANs, IPsec, NAT, and SSL on Cisco, Fortigate, or F5 platforms
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and maintaining network routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure
• CCNA certification and/or experience with cellular operators a plus
• Legally eligible to work in NA, with a valid passport for occasional global travel
• Ability to absorb large amounts of technical knowledge and apply it to troubleshooting and support tasks

• Previous experience with Datacenter Infrastructure
• Zabbix Tool experience
• AWS/GCP cloud knowledge
• Grafana Tool experience
• Knowledge of 2G / 3G / LTE Network Infrastructure
