Net Software Engineer Jobs

Our client, a property and casualty insurance company, is seeking a .Net Software Engineer who will work on an agile team with specific experience working on WPF and WCF applications. The ideal candidate will support, maintain, and enhance WPF and web-based multi-tiered business applications. This individual will also participate in Agile practices employed in the team.

What You’ll Do

This individual will communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders to analyze complex business requirements and processes, assess available technologies, determine infrastructure, and recommend solution options. You will also support and enhance application solutions involving diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools.

What You Bring

• Solid understanding of software development, data modeling, and security architectural principles
• Experience with object-relational tools such as: Entity Framework, EF Core, Dapper, or NHibernate
• Experience in ETL & Reporting. Example: SSIS and SSRS
• Strong proficiency with C#, .NET, data structures, basic algorithms, and applying object-oriented principles and design patterns
• Strong proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio and Git
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing both WCF and RESTful APIs
• Strong proficiency with relational database design and query construction and optimization (SQL Server preferred)
• Experience developing database stored procedures using T/SQL
• Experience implementing unit and integration tests with NUnit, xUnit, MS Test, Selenium or similar
• Experience building Web applications with ASP.NET
• Strong proficiency in building and supporting large WPF applications
• Experience designing and implementing test automation code using C# and other programming languages
