About the Team and Position
Our National Investigations team is responsible for conducting Investigations for multiple complex internal and external cases. Conducts interviews as appropriate. Properly documents investigative results and provides recommendations for next steps as appropriate. Ensures cases are researched, documented, and completed in accordance with departmental, regulatory and compliance standards. You are also a quantitatively driven, detail focused and business-savvy person who enjoys participating on a developing a team. You’ll help develop innovative solutions and play a meaningful role working cross-functionally to build programs to enhance trust, enable business growth and protect the Progress Residential brand.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Keep senior management informed of known safety, theft, and fraud concerns.
  • Deliver professional investigative results in complex, sensitive and high-risk incident situations.
  • Complete investigations within the Enterprise Security Investigations program, including ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Leverage internal and external resources in the completion of investigations as required.
  • Conduct informational and/or investigative interviews to obtain information to confirm facts and support investigative findings.
  • Deliver professionally written investigative reports incorporating all evidence required to support investigative findings and identify causal factors to facilitate post-incident reviews.
  • Serve as point of contact between security ops, business partners and local, state and Federal authorities.
  • Maintain and promote the highest ethical standards and conduct.
  • Ensure appropriate case management and integrity of case files and investigative data. Interpret investigative information and provide feedback and consultation to strengthen and improve business processes.
What You Should Know/have
  • Demonstrated ethics and sound judgment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years of experience in law enforcement, investigations, risk, incident management/crisis response, trust and safety, asset protection or fraud operations roles
  • Experience conducting complex investigations, including but not limited to such work performed as an investigator, attorney, auditor, or data analyst
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and procedures or criminal, policy, and/or administrative investigations
  • Discretion with respect to sensitive and confidential information
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding documentation of gathered facts
  • Ability to identify operational issues and develop solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on projects with minimal guidance
  • Strong interview skills
We’d love it if you also have
  • Prior law enforcement experience is a plus, but is not required
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, but are not required
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification helpful but not mandatory
