The Advancement team in the College of Built Environments (CBE) has an exciting opportunity for a full-time multimedia content specialist with excellent video, photographic and visual-design skills. The emphasis of this position is to visually narrate stories that demonstrate the scope, intensity and impact of the work of CBE’s faculty, students, alumni and staff in creating a more just and beautiful world, utilizing the principles of ethical storytelling. The Multimedia Content Specialist will report to the Director for Marketing & Communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Multimedia Content Specialist will develop, plan and edit high-quality visual content for CBE’s marketing and communications efforts on all publishing platforms, including web, print, multimedia and social platforms. They will collaborate with the team to distribute the content. This work involves having a keen eye toward both the College’s and the University’s priorities, an understanding of their voices and target audiences and a strong attention to detail.
This role calls for creativity, drive and a passion for using multimedia tools to promote the College. It requires technical proficiency with video, still and sound equipment, and visual editing software, as well as a tireless pursuit of visually compelling images of our people and work. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work style and the ability to work well under pressure are also essential.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in video production, multimedia, digital media, or related field and at least two years of proven production experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
