Mozzarella Packaging Jobs

• Packages, palletizes, and labels various products.
• Works in assigned areas of various packaging lines.
• Observe all safety rules, work rules and procedures.
• Ability to work in a coordinated and cooperative manner in a team setting with team goals.
• Records essential packaging information with accordance with the SQF procedures.
• Know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures.
• Any general dairy work as assigned.
• Visually inspect product for quality defects.
• Assist in setting up for production and changeovers.
• Records essential information pertaining to bulk packaging.
• Performs all packaging duties as assigned by the Mozzarella Supervisor.
• Able to rotate between lines and positions practicing good ergonomics.
• Assists in bulk packaging of Mozzarella from brine.
• Ability to read and understand production and packaging schedule and packaging verification reports.

• Assures all products are manufactured in a safe, quality manner.
• Assures compliance with all customer specifications.
• Assures compliance with all SQF Procedure requirements.
• Promotes and enforces compliance with all employees.
• Assures compliance with all GMP requirements.

• Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Dairy Experience Preferred.
• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Education (degree(s) required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience (years of experience required)
  • Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge helpful.

Ability to perform repetitive, manual material handling without restriction requiring but not limited to) the following physical abilities: kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Must demonstrate the strength and aerobic capacity required for the work.

Must have 20/20 correctable vision as well as the ability to distinguish the colors of company signage and labeling system.

Must be able to hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
