Motion Graphic Designer Jobs

We seek amotiongraphicdesignerwith 5+ years of experience to join the Warner Bro Discovery team in a contractor position with YOH. You will report to the Global Brand Creative Team Creative Director on creating and producinggraphics for HBO, Discovery Plus, and the new streaming service MAX. You will work directly with the Creative Director on different stages of projects and collaborate across projects.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Storyboard, design, animate, and create standout designs and animations across formats and platforms
• Manage your time and workload to ensuregraphics are delivered on time
• Demonstrate a learning mindset and stretch the boundaries of the craft, sharing trends and formats with colleagues.
• Assist junior staff with production deliverable tasks and reviewing before sending them to the creative director for approval
• Evolve and maintain the visual brand language
• Collaborate and incorporate creative directors' feedback into design and animation work.
• Optimization, organization, and preparation of design files for final publishing
• Determine which media and design elements to use to support concepts and tell compelling stories and be able to change direction or go with the direction provided
• Self-starter with the design process from concept through final production
• Constantly strive for new, better, and more innovative solutions
• Ensure that design files and assets are properly organized and maintained
• Independently and collaboratively execute approved concepts on time and to a high standard while communicating proactively throughout the work cycle
• Research, stay up to date, and collaborate towards establishing improved workflows
• Conceptualize for the brand’s voice to conceive and build designs/animations that bring stories to life

Required skills:

·BFA inGraphicDesign/MotionDesign

·At least 5+ years of design and animation experience

·Expert-level knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

·Knowledge of 3D tools and software a plus (e.g., Cinema4D, etc.)

·Knowledge of sound editing programs is a plus

·Implement Animation Principles

·Strong command ofgraphicdesign principles such as typography, color, balance, scale, vector illustration, and photo retouching as applied to design andmotion

·Attention to detail for fundamental design standards (centering, kerning, leading, rags, etc.)

·Demonstrable awareness of trends and passionate engagement with services such as Direct-To-Consumer Content/Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat

·Team player and open to constructive criticism

·Strong portfolio and showreel
