The Morgan Stanley Family Office (MSFO) within Corporate & Institutional Solutions is responsible for delivering solutions to Family Office clients across investment management, administration, and specialized service needs. MSFO is a critical partner to the Firm’s top advisors and clients and works closely with the Global Investment Office (GIO) and other partners across various groups at Morgan Stanley. This position affords the opportunity to gain a broad perspective of wealth management, investment banking, and investment management businesses. Attractive candidates should have an interest in (1) understanding Wealth Management with a focus on Family Office and the UHNW client segment and (2) advancing the firm’s long-term, strategic cross-collaboration & growth initiatives. The candidate will be expected to think analytically, be detail oriented and client centric.


Responsibilities


  • Strategy & Execution: Contribute to execution of strategy and project management for several initiatives to create new service offerings and enhance processes for the UHNW client segment at Morgan Stanley
  • Support with breaking down & prioritizing complex, multi-faceted projects into actionable and impactful deliverables
  • Support senior managers with the completion of project objectives, including tracking and reporting on progress of ongoing projects
  • Project Management: Manage work streams of projects by managing to deadlines and liaising with key partners across other groups within wealth management (Product, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology)
  • Vendor Management: Support competitive analysis and Third Party vendor evaluation, RFP process and onboarding
  • Business Metrics & Presentations: Prepare business analysis, including preparing presentation and reporting materials for senior management


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, highly organized and very close attention to detail
  • The role requires a self-starter with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in consulting, wealth management and/or business strategy & management is preferred
  • The candidate must be results-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task & prioritize initiatives across multiple projects
  • Inquisitive, with initiative to independently seek out industry knowledge and stay up to speed with current market landscape
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $60,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
