Mobile Crisis Outreach Specialist (Qmhp)

Job Summary: The Crisis Specialist QMHP ? Community Based is responsible for ensuring the provision of recovery-focused, person-centered care with a trauma-informed perspective. Services are designed to be immediately available to respond to clients at the site of the crisis. This position is actively responsible for securing successful linkage of ATCIC services to identified psychiatric discharge patients. This position works in close conjunction with and in support of Austin State Hospital (ASH), ATCIC's Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and the Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) of the Austin Police Department (APD) and Travis County Sheriff's Department (TCSO) providing assessments, interventions, brief follow-up and service linkage to adults and children/youth in non-clinical community settings. There is extensive latitude for the exercise of independent judgment.

This position follows identified strategies for achievement of unit performance measures and ensures the highest quality of care while effectively utilizing resources.

This position may carry an individual caseload.

On-call responsibilities may be required dependent upon unit protocols.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Preferred:

• Bilingual in Spanish.

Hours: Full-time.

Workdays: Monday-Thursday

Workhours: 8:00am-6:00pm or 12:00am-10:00pm.

Salary: $22.35 - $23.47
