About EmpowerCare:
EmpowerCare is a new non-profit, building a mobile application that uses our innovative, and incentive-based approach that harnesses shared value methods to motivate and support users, while our online peer support and mental health network provides a safe and welcoming community for all. The app is built specifically for chronic illness and disability patients, with eventually both a youth and adult offering. Built by people with disabilities for people with disabilities.

Mission: EmpowerCare is committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to take control of their health and wellbeing, and to live life to the fullest. By providing a range of tools and resources to manage symptoms and daily tasks, it will allow users to feel more confident in themselves living with a chronic illness.

Our goal is to become the go-to resource for individuals with disabilities who are seeking support, information, and motivation to take control of their health and wellbeing. About the Role: We’re looking for a developer to help bring our vision to life! Unfortunately, due to us being a small, non-profit, this role is volunteer (at least initially). 

Requirements:
Passionate developer that can  develop and code apps preferably for both IOS and Android. 

Be able to adapt the vision and mission of EmpowerCare into a functional mobile app.

Location is not important, can even be internationally located, this role is remote. But must be able to meet occasionally in Eastern Time (USA/Canada) Or South African Standard Time (SAST).

Would be preferable to have a connection to Chronic Illnesses & Disabilities but NOT REQUIRED.
