Application Architect Jobs

It is really a Application Arch in Information Management. AZURE experience is needed. They will do Design and choose technologies. Comm skills very important too!

Tech –

• Azure, Azure ML, Azure Databricks, PowerBI, just implemented azure ml and will be doing azure databricks

Soft – communicaton

Must Have/Top Skill Sets: azure, azure ml, azure databricks- only focused on candidates with this, will not look at AWS at this point

Skills that are a plus: power bi, working on cloud env., business intelligence, advanced analytics

Day to Day: (day to day or project details, how can we sell this opportunity, etc.)

• Assist the Enterprise Architect in the planning process for new business initiatives through buy/build recommendations, vendor solutions evaluations, assessing designs against company standards, evaluating technical risk and define and align technology and roadmaps with business strategies.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Junior Architects and Developers in data and analytics technologies, best practices, innovation, designs, and processes.
• Assists with tier 2 application production issues and challenging issues in any phase of the development lifecycle. Supports continuous improvement by identifying and proposing tuning opportunities.
• Works with Delivery Managers to balance rapid delivery of business solutions with sound technical solutions and on development team member competencies, skills, and overall productivity.
• Identifies opportunities to increase efficiency, quality, and speed to market. Proposes actions to realize opportunities and advocates for DevOps/DataOps opportunities.
• Monitor trends and evaluates emerging technologies that are candidates for the future state data and analytics architecture or evolving business strategy and supports vendor analysis and proofs-of-concept to validate new technologies, solutions, and designs as needed.
• Collaborate with Delivery teams to define, select, and implement data, analytics, and information solutions that consider business objectives and meet non-functional requirements.

The Data and Analytics Architect is responsible for the overall design of the data, platforms, and applications (batch/real time, cloud/hybrid) within our Information Management area (including Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics). This will include the definition of standards, best practices, policies and procedures, integration patterns, data models, high level data flows and data services. This Architect will work in collaboration with Application Development teams, Enterprise Architecture, and business partners to establish data and analytics architecture patterns, evaluate new tools and technologies, provide recommendations, support POCs, and assist with implementation/adoption as appropriate.
