Job Purpose/Overview
The primary focus of this role is to create an Unforgettable Guest Experience in accordance with Mars Retail Group brand standards, creating a world where everyone feels they belong.
The Store Administrator Associate is responsible for the administration of cash handling, consumer care queries, and shipping needs, allowing guests to shop with ease in our Mars Retail Group Stores.
This role is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for our Guests by executing Mars Retail Group brand policies, procedures, Quality, and all food safety requirements.

Context and Scope
The role of the Store Administrator Associate is crucial for the delivery of an Unforgettable Experience in our Retail stores, and for upholding the operational and administrative side of the business in cash handing, consumer care, and shipping.
Success is found in this role through delivering operational excellence, being an active team player, meeting outlined goals, and not excluding developing one’s own skills
Key Responsibilities
- May support all Loss Prevention strategies, including investigating inaccuracies or discrepancies and internal and external theft and fraud which leads to inaccurate inventory levels and sellable merchandise
- Accurately and thoroughly maintain the administration of all Consumer Care needs and records
- Troubleshoot and support resolutions for all aspects of technology; (i.e., cash registers, the safe, and cash management machine)
- Drive Quality to achieve compliance in food regulation, local regulation, and auditing
- Aid to ensure the reduction of waste across all areas of the store
- Support processing all non-vendor shipping needs; including guest orders
- Uphold presentation excellence to ensure all areas of the store are well prepared (neat clean, organized, operational and safe), allowing guests to shop with ease
- May support timely and efficient orders for office supplies
- Responsible for all store cash handling, including the maintenance of a neat and organized cash office
- Support the management of radios and headsets.
- Adhere to all operating procedures

- Demonstrate confidence and focus during periods of high volume or unexpected events whilst still providing guests with an engaging experience
- Partner with the sales department for cash handling and consumer care requests
- Provide onstage support for guests and store Associates when needed
- Balance serving Guests while also completing operational tasks when on the sales floor
- Exemplify product knowledge when interacting with guests

- Support the development of a fun and inclusive environment where Associates feel comfortable being their true and authentic self at work, in a “fun kind” way to bring out the best in each other
- Supportive of leadership direction to encourage direct conversations and feedback with peers
- Mentor and buddy new Associates and peer-educate Associates in new areas
- Externally, relate the brand purpose, helping to enhance brand loyalty
- Store representative of the M&M’S brand, store products and experiences. This includes greeting and approaching all guests with a friendly and positive attitude
- Balances solutions for consumer care needs and escalates when appropriate, ensuring Brand integrity at all times
- Internally, advocating for equity, inclusion, and diversity, role modelling allyship
- May be asked to represent the brand as one of our classic characters in costume
- Adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations throughout the store
- Follow outlined strategies and plans to achieve business growth through effective communication, and consistent accountability
- Work alongside the leadership team to create and maintain cash room and daily sales reports
- Responsible for adhering to all Mars Retail Group policies and procedures, plus local regulation adherence, including attendance and timekeeping, food handling guidelines, Quality, loss prevention, and safety/emergency procedures
- Integral role in a strong and influential store team
- Aid in strengthening connections and consensus within the store team
- Always provides for exceptional communication and timely service for all consumer care needs. This includes responsibly taking orders, investigating complaints, and providing appropriate follow ups
- Regular and consistent communication with leaders and peers
- Compile consumer care data and feedback for the leadership team to review
Other duties as assigned by the Leadership team
Job Specifications/Qualifications
- Must meet minimum age requirements (16 or older)
- Experience in cash handling
- Must have desire and openness to learn, grow and take on feedback
- Retail experience or experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred, but not required
Key Experiences Preferred but not required
- Basic computer IT skills
- Experience with operational excellence, and satisfying the Guest

- Willingness to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
- Willingness to work in an environment with loud music and bright lights
