We're hiring an ML Engineer to join the Data Science team at Telesign, which is responsible for both practical and R&D efforts. You will work closely with other data scientists, the product team, and engineering, to ensure a seamless delivery of ML products applied to complex and very large datasets. You will get an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge data science platforms built on server-less AWS streaming architecture.
Key Responsibilities

• Execute Jenkins Pipeline for model deployments until automated trigger is developed
• Know or willing to learn Machine Learning concepts where they pertain to MLOps work
• Learn existing best DevOps practices used at TeleSign, implement them wherever possible and document differences with rationale for better communication with stakeholders
• Design and develop the Ops part of the automated trigger for model deployments
• Enforce best practices and speed up development by implementing CICD automation wherever possible
• Assist MLEng with estimating the overall effort and resources needed to complete a project at design time
• Know or willing to learn MLOps best practices and differences with generic DevOps
• Know or willing to learn AWS SageMaker and how it is used as Data Science/MLEng/MLOps toolkit
• Assess current deployment systems and processes, and devise ways to improve them
• Write documentation related to development/deployment process and releases
• Understand the needs of MLEng developers and proactively present possible solutions with pros and cons

Essential Requirements

• Understanding of AWS, Jenkins, Groovy, Python, Terraform
• Curious about business industry and product development
• Data visualization experience with packages such as matplotlib, plot.ly
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related technical or quantitative discipline/field
• Experience manipulating data in Spark
• Cross-functional collaboration experience
• Previous experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (such as DynamoDB)
• 3+ years of "hands-on" experience in several of the following:
• Experience delivering, evaluating, and iterating on models in production
• Conceptual understanding of statistical methodologies and many machine learning algorithms with demonstrated application
• Significant experience in popular Python packages such as numpy, pandas, sk-learn, xgboost
• Ability to research and present to the team on latest technological and data science topics

Pay decisions are also guided by our financial means as well as analyzed against what others earn internally. We strive to pay competitively and offer market differentiated benefits and perquisites in line with our compensation philosophy. Telesign’s good faith estimate for this position is $74k-$156,100 + bonus + benefits. This range is a reflection of many similar like positions and your actual compensation may not be at the high or low end of the range but will be based on your unique skills and other criteria mentioned.
