MG2 is seeking a talented Mixed-Use Project Designer to join our Seattle office in our Community Environments Market!
- Trains staff effectively into their assigned roles
- Handles Quality Control of project documents (internal team review)
- Displays confidence when presenting and representing projects
- Collaborates successfully with project team members
- Owns responsibility of maintaining design intent during technical development phases of projects
- Develops technical solutions based on design directions
- Adheres to project work plan, budget, scope, and schedule
- Assist with master planning, concept, schematic and design development documents and drawings, construction documents
- Work with project design team, including consultants
- Participates in client communication
- Produces well-organized and well-coordinated work
- Meets technical requirements for constructability and code compliance in documents
- Support project design intent and goals for successful implementation
- Implements sustainability related goals of the project during design phases
- Assist with design presentations for clients and government authorities
- Experience in multi-family and/or mixed-use design with experience in shell and core design
- Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of design and construction document phases
- Bachelor of Architecture
- Well-rounded knowledge base
- Exhibits MG2 Practice Values of Integrated Approach, Design Excellence, Social Responsibility, Leadership, and Results.
- LEED AP or equivalent, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver design solutions
- Strong understanding of design ordinances
- Strong proficiency in Revit, Lumion/Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Rhino
- Basic understanding of constructability
- 5+ years of architectural design experience
- Has volunteered or participated in community or professional organization events
- Licensed or certified professional, preferred
