Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) 787 Program is seeking a Mid-level Supply Chain Management Analyst in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The Statement of Work includes standard Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned. This position in Fulfillment will support both factory and supply chain priorities as well.
Successful candidates will work with a team of experienced SCMA’s (Supply Chain Management Analysts) to schedule and coordinate the delivery of Buyer Furnished Equipment to support airplane build and delivery across all Everett BCA programs. The Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) organization works closely with Boeing and customer suppliers to provide BFE, Customer Selected/Specific Equipment (CSE), and Seller-Purchased Equipment (SPE) for production aircraft as well as imminently delivering aircraft.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works under general direction.
- Handle second issue BFE part requirements, as necessary.
- Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain.
- Verifies and incorporates Bills of Material/schedules into a production plan.
- Analyzes and dispositions excess inventories. Initiates audits.
- Expedite shortages in response to accelerated orders, backorders or non-forecasted demands.
- Documents and resolves order delinquencies.
- Ensures on-time delivery.
- Assists in developing estimates and schedules for new business proposals.
- Commitment to Quality; support any designated quality improvement projects.
- Support any special projects or assignments for Buyer Furnished Equipment.
- Develops and creates schedules for products and services.
- Incorporates change and planning decisions to arrive at optimal solutions.
- Ordering and scheduling for 2nd issue BFE (Buyer Furnished Equipment) parts.
- Reports schedule adherence issues.
- Work with factory, QA, and fulfillment to support second issue rejections, loans, and fit check parts. Provide part updates to airline customers and participate in customer meetings.
- Work with TW&L logistic support group on expedited and AOG orders, and for help clearing shipments from Customs.
- Support implementation of OneBPS.
- Mitigate shortage conditions on any past due orders.
- Issue BFE parts to factory/field to meet in-sequence work and airplane achievements.
- Work with CQS, Customer Engineering, and Business Operations on any part issues that do not meet customer requirements.
- Develops and controls inventory plans.
- Analyzes complex material requirements.
- Determines part number attributes. Initiates, coordinates and authorizes release of orders by evaluating system requirements and resource availability.
- Prepare weekly progress reports and attend shortage meetings as required.
- Implements and maintains process improvements by analyzing and establishing best practices for materials management to improve SCM performance.
- Optimizes inventory levels.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management analysis or materials management analysis
- 3+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product)
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- 3+ years of experience working in a position where priorities changed frequently and Customer Service was critical to the team’s success
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry
- 3+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing
Typical Education/ Experience:
Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
