Job Description

Purpose:

Do you enjoy analyzing problems and coming up with new ways to drive improvement around service, inventory, and cost? The Supply & Demand Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory levels and projecting supply based on varying demand through data-driven decision-making to ensure KPIs are met. If you are someone who enjoys making an impact and using analytics to get results, then we would love to have you join our Analytics team at Kraus.

We are seeking an experienced analyst who will work closely with key cross-functional team members including account managers, program managers, and supply chain functions to develop and implement cohesive analyses and reporting that will drive demand/supply plans. This person makes use of analytical tools, strong product knowledge, customer relationships, and business judgment while conducting Point of Sale (POS) analysis to build, refine, and report forecasts.

The Supply & Demand Analyst develops, implements, and improves a daily, weekly, and monthly repeatable work cadence that is coordinated with the customer’s transportation and distribution logistics, store operations planning cadences, and internal manufacturing and capacity planning. Accordingly, he or she possesses excellent communication, relationship-building skills, and a bias toward process and action.

Responsibilities

  • Use supply and demand plans to advise factory capacity planning
  • Participate in monthly forecast reviews with sales and demand teams to validate demand and review supply
  • Collaborate closely with supply and store replenishment planners to ensure demand and supply from factories through distribution centers to retail stores and customers are synchronized
  • Build new forecasting models and tools to increase the accuracy of demand plans, and predict trends and volume while updating and validating models with the latest internal and external data
  • Highlight supply challenges to the appropriate parties and work with international factories to mitigate
  • Focuses on reducing forecast error for assigned metrics in order to minimize E&O, air freight, and late customer orders
  • Meet or exceed important metrics (inventory to sales ratio / % of active vs non-active inventory, days of supply, etc.)
  • Determine safety stock at the item level and maintain based on seasonality
  • Reporting activities including compiling data for monthly S&OP meetings
  • Conduct POS analytics, mining for trends and insights that inform demand and financial forecasts while improving tools and reporting on the business
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners to synchronize findings, methods, and share standard methodologies
  • Support and manage new product introductions and transitions including raw material planning
  • Build PO flow plans for new items to initiate workflow with the factories and to advise the order creation process once approved
  • Produce accurate and timely forecasts informed by shipment history, POS analytics, assortment plans, market trends, and married up to financial and service level targets

Education and Experience

  • Possesses strong analytic skills and eye for business with the ability to work accurately, close attention to detail, and active listening skills
  • Optimally works with individuals and groups at all organization levels; capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • 2-3 years in planning or similar role in Consumer Products
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, supply chain management, or another related field
  • Advanced skills in Excel and knowledge of Demand Planning applications
