Job Description

Razor is looking for a Full-stack Java Developer to work on a long term, government contracted project at the National Science Foundation through our partners, Booz Allen Hamilton.

The role is 100% remote but an option for hybrid only for potential meetings may be required but it not currently.

The role of a Full Stack Developer is to design, develop, and implement web applications using front-end and back-end technologies to support business requirements. Follows approved Agile life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs front and back-end coding. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Interfaces with Business Analysis and UI/UX teams.


Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and experience developing in Java Technologies like J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Web Services (REST, Soap), XSLT, XML
  • Experience with HTML, Handlebars, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Experience developing client-side applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like Ember, React, Vue, or Angular
  • 6+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree required. Commensurate experience for education.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps-related tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git
  • Working knowledge of developing for App servers preferably WebLogic, Glassfish and Tomcat
  • Knowledge of database design/tools including Stored Procedures, DML and DDL tasks
  • Work Authorization: GC, GC EAD, US Citizens
  • Experience providing production support and issue resolution

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with automated testing (e.g. experience using Selenium or JavaScript testing frameworks)
  • Possession of excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite of tools, including Jira and Confluence
