Position: Full-stack Developer

Location: Remote Work/ Candidate must reside in DMV area

Education: B.S. degree in relevant with at least (4+) years of IT experience.

Clearance: U.S. Citizens Only. Must be able to obtain a CBP BI. Active TS or CBP suitability strongly desired.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to lead the development and maintenance of our applications supporting homeland security operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SQL databases and managed code using programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#. Experience in AI/ML is also highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code using managed code such as Python, Java, or C#

- Collaborating with the product team and other stakeholders to define software requirements and translate them into technical specifications

- Building and deploying software using modern DevOps tools and practices

- Ensuring the security, scalability, and performance of web applications

- Mentoring and coaching junior developers

- Keeping up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development, including AI/ML.

- Leading the development and maintenance of web applications using modern front-end frameworks and back-end technologies

- Designing and developing SQL databases and implementing efficient data models

Key Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

- 7+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, including experience with SQL databases and managed code in languages such as Python, Java, or C#

- Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and practices such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker

- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

- Experience with AI/ML technologies is a plus

- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular a plus

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
