Mfg Assembly Technician , Project Kuiper

• 1+ years of hands on work experience Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/or Harness Integration experience
• 1+ years' experience in a fast-paced production environment with Flight Hardware
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of hand on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices(i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
• 1+ years relevant aerospace manufacturing experience, or relevant aerospace trade school certification

Additional Requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
• Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted
• Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times 1st shift: 8am-4:30PM Shift will vary, depending on program needs

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Key job responsibilities

• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
• Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
• Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc)
• Identify equipment requirements process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
• You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
• Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
• Build solar modules and solar arrays
• Assemble mechanical/electrical of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration of final vehicle assembly fabricating and/or processing materials into complex manufactured products in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $36/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. We are a group of Technicians with well over 20 years of diverse skills and experience. Each team member brings in willingness to train and positive team energy. Some tasks you may be an individual contributor, but may also work in a group environment to achieve organizational goals. This group of Technicians thrived in success by working as a team. We are currently in research and development but moving towards production environment.

• Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Prior military service a plus
• 1+ able to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/ or drawings
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
• Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,880/year in our lowest geographic market up to $81,120/year in our highest geographic market.
