This position is responsible for editing and transcribing medical reports for inclusion in the patient record. The Medical Transcriptionist will serve in gathering necessary details during the patient visit and documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Records patient encounter by documenting necessary details as directed by Physician.
  • Performs duties assigned by Physician as needed.
  • Monitors finalization of reports. Assists with patient flow as necessary.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Edits and transcribes details into electronic record.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
  • Transcription from dictation and typing skills; word processing and computer competency with basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years Inpatient Medical Transcription experience preferred
