Job Description

Virtual Medical Scribe Position (CST 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm) (EST 11am to 8pm or 12pm to 9pm)

  • Paid training that provides in-depth knowledge of HPI documentation, EMR systems, medical terminology, disease processes, procedures, medications, medical decision making, and more.
  • One-on-one time with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Specialties you can work with: Primary Care (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics), Surgical Specialties (Orthopedic, General, Breast, Urology, Dermatology), Medical Specialties (Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Radiation Oncology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management).

Basic qualifications:

  • Quiet and HIPAA compliant workspace
  • Passion for the medical field
  • Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Typing test score of 60+ WPM
  • Reliable internet connection of at least 100 mbps
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Laptop or Desktop with webcam and at least 8gb RAM
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Minimum GPA 3.2
  • Consistent availability

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate any provider’s schedule changes to the client services team.
  • Input orders as directed by the provider including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
  • Scribe in real-time while accompanying physician during clinic, documenting patient information into the EMR (history, chief complaint, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan).
  • Handle any and all patient information with the utmost compliance to HIPAA regulations.

Location: Virtual

  • Must reside in one of the following states to be eligible for hire: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana or Virginia
