Medical Receptionist $12.00/Hr - $14.00/Hr Monday To Sunday - Flexible Schedule

Responsibilities

 Answers telephone in professional manner, screens calls, and takes concise messages.

Listens to and evaluates needs of callers and handles appropriately. Serves as a resource

for callers, with a focus on customer service and assistance.

 Schedules appointments

 Supplements office staff by assisting with computer input/typing, scheduling,

preparation of forms, correspondence, compilation of data and other various projects.

Locations in McAllen, Edinburg, and Mission.

Schedule

Monday to Friday 07:30am to 10pm

Saturday 8am to 3pm

Sunday 4pm to 8pm

Able to work rotating shift is a MUST

Qualifications

Work Experience

 Excellent communication skills at level necessary for taking patients

 Ability to effectively communicate with patient population and staff while

demonstrating a high degree of diplomacy and tact.

 Demonstrates flexibility in regard to job duties and assignments.

 Willingness to cross train within other departments within your scope of duties.

 Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-stress and fast-moving environment.

 Culturally sensitive and demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with ethnically

diverse populations.

 Working knowledge of “Universal Precautions,” always demonstrates professionalism.

 Possess a thorough understanding of the importance of confidentiality and non-

disclosure according to the general standards set forth by HIPAA.

 Bilingual English/Spanish required

 Knowledge of medical terminology

 Knowledge of computer and job-related software

Education

• High school Graduate (or GED) required.
