Job Description
Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II in the Core Lab at Overlook Medical Center to work from 10 PM to 6 AM, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot Laboratory analyzers and equipment
  • Provide Laboratory information to others on the patient care team
  • Perform Laboratory testing and report results according to SOP
  • Perform quality control tasks and maintain Laboratory documentation
  • Maintain and manage Laboratory inventory
  • Maintain competencies and continuing education
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
  • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation
Minimum Experience:
  • Previous Laboratory experience preferred, but not necessary; new MLS/ CLS graduates welcome.
