Medical Assistant/Lpn Jobs

We are seeking a Medical Assistant or LPNs to join our team!

Medical Assistants/LPNs are an important member of the clinical team and assure that patients have a positive, caring and professional experience during their office visit. Our MAs/LPNs will work alongside the provider performing routine administrative and clinical assignments, to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Greet incoming patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Provide and reinforce patient education following procedures and office visits
• Set up for select procedures including biopsies, surgical procedures
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Dispose of garbage and medical waste material
• Check for any outstanding biopsies, bloodwork, etc.
• Supply ordering & inventory
• Perform the following procedures: dressing changes, suture removal after demonstrating competency and approved by provider, taking patient measurements utilizing the landmarks
• Maintain a daily log of biopsies and cultures performed by each provider
• Obtain and update the complete patient history and chief complaint
• Complete pathology requisition forms with complete and updated patient information
• Maintain an accurate account of specimens and record on cover sheets of lab bags
• Clean, organize and supply patient rooms
• Assist providers with medical & cosmetic procedures
• Review and follow posted OSHA instructions/requirements including hazardous waste, needle stick injuries, emergency evacuations, etc.

Qualifications:

• Dermatology experience is preferred, but not required for position. Training for medical and surgical procedures will be provided upon hiring.
• Customer service experience preferred
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• LPN candidates must have active license and be in good standing
• Familiarity with ModMed/EMA EHR a plus but not required
• Previous experience in healthcare is strongly preferred
• Excellent Communication skills and strong organizational skills are a must
• Ability to work well with providers to anticipate and support their needs
