Medical Assistant - Spokane (Part-Time)

The Medical Assistant works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. A Medical Assistant is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Associate Medical Assistant:

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
• Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or alternate training program
• Six months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Medical Assistant:

Required Qualifications:

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
• Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
• 6 months of Healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam
• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire

Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
