MEDICAL ASSISTANT Full-time
ENT: (Ear, Nose and Throat)/Otolaryngology Edward-Elmhurst Medical Group LOCATION: CENTER FOR HEALTH, ELMHURST The ENT department has three providers that care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The scope of their care includes any conditions of the ear, nose or throat areas. They couple with Audiology, which is housed in the same office, to provide hearing tests for patients when required. Minor procedures are done in the office including the use of scopes to visualize these areas. The doctors diagnose conditions that need surgery and see pre and post operative patients.
Hours: This physician practice is open 6 days a week. The office hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm. Saturdays 7am-noon. Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. **This position may also cross train to Surgery Scheduler.
SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE: This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus (grossed up). The first $500 will be paid at your 6 month mark of employment and the remaining $500 will be paid at the end of one year. This bonus does not apply to internal employees transferring within departments.
Position Requirements Include

• Bilingual Spanish, preferred
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
• Minimum of a High school diploma or GED
• Prior work experience in an ENT setting, highly preferred
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening and Saturday rotation
• Preferred: Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA , RMA or CCMA). Will need to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience.
