Functions

The medical assistant

  • Collects drug screens and performs EKGs, spirometry testing, and hearing testing.
  • Measures vital signs.
  • Takes and records patient history and personal information.
  • Checks patients in and prepares them for appointment with physician/provider.
  • Answers telephone and schedules patients' appointments.

Requirements

  • Ability to clearly communicate medical information and perform job duties in a professional, courteous and confidential manner
  • Certified medial assistant
