Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Regionally acclaimed Holistic Medical Facility in Rockefeller Center, NYC with strong specializations in colon hydrotherapy, ozone therapy, intravenous vitamin therapy, etc. seeks experienced Medical Administrative Assistant.
We are looking for a highly capable Medical Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support at our medical office. You will be supporting the patient and office administration of the clinic. You will also need to liaise heavily with outside parties including vendors, pharmacies, etc. This role requires superior administrative, technical, and computer skills. Proven experience with EMR systems such as EPIC, Cerner, AllScripts, e-Clinical is required (*proficiency with CureMD is HIGHLY preferred).
To ensure success, you should demonstrate expert knowledge of medical practice administration and ideally have experience in a similar medical facility. An outstanding medical administrative assistant will be someone whose administrative expertise contributes to the provision of excellent healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing healthcare service delivery improvement plans.
- Work closely in collaboration with administrative and clinical staff.
- Serve as a "patient advocate" - schedule incoming and follow up appointments, monitor patient progress, send coordinated emails/text messages to patients for updates and details on medical cases.
- Monitoring health and patient care practices for compliance in health regulations.
- Acting as a liaison with outside agencies such as government bodies and insurance companies.
- Documenting processes and maintaining records.
- Comprehensive follow-up with other related medical referrals
- Enter, update, and ensure accuracy of patient information in EMR (CureMD).
- Keeping informed of trends in practice administration and healthcare regulations.
- Performing other administrative tasks as required.
- Assisting with business planning and the improvement of administrative processes.
- Coordinate and faciliate communications with pharmacies regarding prescription orders and other outside medical service requests including various, labs, x-rays, other clinical assessments, etc.
Requirements:
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record management systems.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, excellent typing and keyboarding skills, ability to enter physician notes expediently, and experience maintain relationships with specialists and pharmacy vendors.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration of healthcare administration; Master's in Healthcare Administration is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations.
- At least 4 years' experience in healthcare/practice administration or as an administrative medical assistant in a similar environment.
- Extensive experience in insurance verification and faciliatation of the patient coverage process.
