Job Description
Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing is committed to improving our patients' quality of life & autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services, and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention. We are seeking an organized, client focused Medicaid Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team of health care professionals at our skilled nursing facility in Amityville!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Follow up to ensure that all applications are approved.
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor
  • Review admission forms for residents referred for Medicaid assistance.
  • Secure and complete appropriate forms in accordance with established procedure.
  • Coordinate with residents and their families to compile all information needed for benefit eligibility.
  • Collect all necessary documents to apply for Medicaid.
Qualifications:
  • Recent grads encouraged to apply. Willing to train and guide the right candidate!
  • Long term care experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Insurance experience preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
