Mechanical Engineer Jobs

Peerless Machine and Tool, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of paper converting machinery and tooling, is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer.

The Mechanical Engineer will provide mechanical engineering support for various machine lines. The support involves using mechanical experience to provide daily trouble shooting, product development and improvements, as well as service specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

•Define, solve, and implement technical solutions relating to feasibility, development, continuous improvements, product evaluation, and product support

•Perform detailed part design and documentation using Inventor and other systems

•Assist in writing technical specifications and other documentation

•Create and maintain machinery bill of materials

•Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly

•Ensure existing and future machinery meet all regulations

•Conduct and participate in design reviews

•Effectively communicate design/project information internally and with customers

•Design, perform, and document product testing

•Requires some travel (20%)

Qualifications

•BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

•3-5 years of machine design experience preferred

•Autodesk Inventor experience or equivalent

•Manufacturing experience is a plus

•ERP system experience is a plus

•Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

•Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

•Communicates and works effectively within groups
