Mechanical Engineer Jobs

If you are a mechanical engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opening for you! Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will design, test, install, and maintain mechanical equipment for use in gas and liquid flow measurement and control. In this position, you will help develop new ultrasonic flow meter products, support existing ultrasonic flow meter product designs, and work with a global team to bring new products to market.

AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Perform research needed to complete designs. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Create detailed test plans, complete the test plans, and build detailed reports with conclusions. Reports must be detailed enough that other engineers should be able to repeat the tests and achieve the same results.
• Work with others to ensure designs are fully documented and ready for manufacturing. Documentation includes but is not limited to drawings, BOMs, procedures, specifications, fixture drawings, etc.
• Build innovative designs using 3D CAD modeling, accurately documenting designs, detailing the decisions made during the design process, formally detailing all design calculations, and completing disclosures to protect intellectual property.
• Safely conduct experiments using thermal chambers, ovens, pressure vessels, pressurized gasses, pressure pumps, hazardous chemicals, etc.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Proficient at using 3D Cad modeling (e.g. NX, SolidWorks)
• Proficient in the spoken and written English language
• Being able to effectively communicate findings through reports and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient with MS Office Tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $84,500 - $97,900 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to this role.

Some relocation available for the right candidate.
