Mechanical Assembler Jobs

In this role, you have the opportunity to
Perform the daily assigned tasks by ensuring workmanship meets or exceeds customer and company requirements
You are responsible for

• Documenting daily actions in detail by completing production and quality forms
• Building computer servers to customer and technical specifications
• Carefully handling computer parts and chassis per ESD and safety guidelines
• Carefully transporting servers to and from stations per QA and safety guidelines
• Completing sub-assemblies
• Maintaining safe, neat and clean working environment by complying with 6S guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserving resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job
• Following daily production schedule and work instructions
• Filling out required forms (paper/on-line) for hardware configuration, troubleshooting, defective equipment, and build status correctly and in detail
• Following operations manual, written instructions, and defined best practices and guidelines in quality assurance for wiring, cabling, and system configuration
• Becoming proficient at all Build Stations

You are a part of
A successful organization that is experiencing rapid growth while pushing the limits of current technology. You will be a part of the Edge business unit working in the Manufacturing department at the Chantilly, VA facility.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification (equal to 1 year of work experience)
• Associate degree in computer technology or related field (preferred)
• One year of experience working with computer hardware components
• Certification as a CIS (or CIT) to IPC standard IPC-A-610 or the ability to successfully obtain certification within 6 months of hire (required).
• Experience with the following IPC standards preferred: IPC/WHMA-A-620,
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
