This is a unique automotive accounting position, and the responsibilities are vastly different to what billing clerks for other industries may be responsible for.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile controlled accounts to ensure all receivable and payable components of the transactions are completed in a timely fashion
• Accurately record sales, cost of sales, payables and receivables pertaining to the sale of a vehicle in a journal entry fashion
• Work closely with sales department to obtain required documents
• Various other vehicle sale related tasks and reconciliations

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time and patience during high pressure cutoff situations
• Experience using Microsoft Excel in a business setting
• Dealership and/or automotive experience is a plus
• Understanding of balancing journal entry debits and credits
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize and bring forth things that appear ‘out of the norm’
• 3-5 years accounting experience preferred
