What We Do And How We Do It


The Receiving Services work area is a fast paced ever-changing environment where a highly motivated, customer focused team provides exceptional service to the entire headquarters complex. The staff services multiple dock locations and supports several other work areas.


What Your Role Entails And How You’ll Contribute


The Material Movement Specialist is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all shipping and receiving docks within the headquarters complex. They will load and unload trucks using Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) equipment, inspecting all freight for damage, transport all freight to and from required locations, and monitor all pedestrian and vehicle activity entering and leaving the building through the docks. They will also be required to operate dock hoists for unloading large non-standard loads. The Material Movement Specialist frequently transports and/or handles odd shaped and non-standard loads, as well as hazardous material. They will insure delivery schedules are met and shipping charges are kept within budgeted needs. They will receive and manifest all incoming and outbound shipments, maintaining shipping records on all items for tracking purposes and accurate record keeping. Schedule transportation needs for all freight shipments. Material Movement Specialists are frequently assigned to assist and back up other job positions within the department and division which incudes Shipping, Courier, and Fleet Maintenance. To be successful in this position, you need to be able to maintain fast-paced, scheduled deadlines.

Basic Qualifications


The following is required to be considered for this role:


  • Minimum one to two years experience operating PIV equipment.
  • Must be proficient using a PC and typing.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Physical Requirements include: Bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, grasping, standing 100% of the time. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 80 to 100 pounds.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Ariba, SAP and Ratelinx shipping systems.

Additional Details


  • Must commit to remaining in the position a minium of one year.
  • Will be required to fill in on duties of coworkers during absences which includes adjusting start and stop times with minimal notice.
  • Must have or immediately be able to obtain a valid PIV license for forklift, power walkie and delivery cart and able to inspect and service each piece of equipment on a daily basis.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record of no more than two moving violations in a three year period and no DUI/DWI violations.
  • Will be required to take and pass several safety training courses each year to include DOT and Transporting Hazardous Materials.
  • Able to work at times in less than favorable working conditions with dirt, chemicals and extreme temperatures.
  • Relocation will not be provided
