Job Description
  • Full Time/Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Must be able to work a flexible schedule; primarily five days per week, Monday through Friday with evening and weekend hours as necessary to support agency events.
  • $37,440 annually


Description


The Marketing & Social Media Specialist will assist the Communications Director with varied and integrated communication products and services, including but not limited to printed materials, electronic communications, website updates, social media, content creation, marketing, and public relations. Additional tasks involved are filming and editing of videos and some administrative duties. The Bridge seeks a highly motivated, self-starter and detail-oriented person.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Assist in planning, writing, and managing monthly newsletter.
  • Update website on WordPress platform.
  • Video creation and editing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Communication Director on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.
  • Assist with press releases.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining The Bridge’s social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter using Hootsuite.


Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Graphic design experience; Portfolio Required
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or similar field. In lieu of degree, must have a High School Diploma/GED, plus a minimum of two years of experience working with social media/public relations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Video editing experience; Portfolio Required


Skills & Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of Constant Contact, a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Hootsuite, a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Classy, a plus.
  • Experience editing WordPress websites, Preferred


Other Requirements


  • Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs., and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
  • Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must pass criminal background investigation check
  • Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
